SUGAR HOUSE ISLAND PARTNERS WITH TRAID
At Sugar House Island, we believe that small actions create big impacts. Which is why we’ve partnered with TRAID, encouraging our community to reduce, reuse and recycle.
Why Recycling Matters
Recycling helps conserve natural resources, reduces landfill waste and lowers carbon emissions. By making mindful choices, we can protect the environment and make Sugar House Island a greener place for everyone.
Recycling Initiative on the Island
To reaffirm our commitment to sustainability, weโre partnering with TRAID, a pioneering charity retailer, to set up a dedicated clothing donation bin.
The local community will have the opportunity to give their unwanted clothes a new lease of life by depositing them in the TRAID bin located in Concierge, helping to reduce waste and promote sustainable fashion.
TRAID (Charity Reg. Num. 297489) is on a mission to revolutionise the fashion industry by collecting, sorting and reselling quality second-hand clothing in their London stores. Through their work, they prevent thousands of garments from ending up in landfills while funding crucial initiatives such as organic cotton farming and support for garment workers worldwide. Their approach ensures that fashion not only looks good but does good, creating a fairer and more sustainable industry.
By participating in this initiative, youโll be directly contributing to reducing environmental waste, supporting ethical fashion and promoting circularity in the industry โ one garment at a time!
Every donated item helps extend the lifespan of clothing, conserves valuable resources, and supports global efforts to create a more sustainable fashion ecosystem.
