STUDY GROUP TO BRING NEW UNIVERSITY OF HUDDERSFIELD LONDON CAMPUS TO SUGAR HOUSE ISLAND
We’re delighted that The University of Huddersfield will be coming to Sugar House Island. As part of a deal with Study Group, the university will set up its first London campus, aimed at postgraduate international students.
The university will take space at Chimney Walk and will be joining the creative education community which already exists on the Island – from East London Dance and UD Music championing up-and-coming artistic talent to School 360 providing holistic teaching and IATE leading the way in arts therapy and education.
It’s great to see Stratford transform into a hub of education and talent, with London College of Fashion and UCL East at East Bank and regional universities like Loughborough and Staffordshire at Here East.
Chimney Walk is the latest phase of the Island, home to a new public realm for visitors and residents to relax, as well as three buildings, two of which have dual use status for both education and business occupiers to operate. Chimney Walk is also currently home to our year-long programme of free art exhibitions in partnership with Hypha Studios.
