STRATFORD COLLEGE LONDON JOINS SUGAR HOUSE ISLAND – AND DANE’S YARD IS NOW FULLY LET

We’re celebrating a big moment on Sugar House Island: Stratford College London is officially joining our thriving community, taking space in the heart of Dane’s Yard. With this exciting arrival, Dane’s Yard is now 100% let, a major milestone in the Island’s journey.

A Growing Hub for Learning, Creativity and Innovation

Stratford College London will open its newest site here on the Island, offering a range of vocational higher‑education courses. They join a vibrant group of education and creative organisations already calling Sugar House Island home, including East London Dance, UD Music, School 360, The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education and The University of Huddersfield’s first London campus.

It’s all part of our long-term ambition to create a neighbourhood where education, enterprise, and creativity sit side by side—and we’re delighted to see this vision unfolding every day.

“A Huge Milestone for the Island”

Dan Westley, Head of Portfolio at Vastint UK, shared his excitement:

“This latest deal marks a huge milestone for the Island, with our first workplace district, Dane’s Yard, now 100% occupied.

When we set out to regenerate this former industrial site, our vision was for a mixed‑use neighbourhood where students, professionals, creatives and disruptors could come together. Today, that vision is very much a reality.”

Meet the Dane’s Yard Community

Dane’s Yard houses an eclectic mix of tenants across industries, including creative businesses such as Jim & Tonic East’s gin and rum bars and distilleries, art publishers Phaidon and film restoration specialists R3store Studios. With Stratford College London joining the fold, the area becomes an even richer blend of learning, culture, and creativity.
