ANOTHER FANTASTIC OPEN HOUSE FESTIVAL CELEBRATION AT THE ISLAND!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Open House Festival 2025 event on Saturday, 13th September.

With over 100 attendees, it was a fantastic opportunity to open up Sugar House Island to those who wanted to discover its fascinating architecture and learn more about the rich history of the neighbourhood.

It was a day filled with tours led by ourselves, architects Supervene and landscape architects Planit, which explored the heritage and history of the Island, from the reclaimed Victorian-era warehouses that now house the next generation of creative talent to the industrial era-chimneys which have been cleaned and restored and now line Chimney Walk. The tours touched on how the Island has crafted a forward-thinking community while still paying homage to the historic trades of the past through the architectural design.

Our resident gin and rum bar Jim & Tonic East also supported us at the event, hosting behind-the-scenes distillery talks and gin and rum tastings on their open air bus, and providing great food and drinks throughout the day.

The Open House Festival is still running until Sunday, allowing the public unprecedented access to architecturally significant buildings and neighbourhoods in London – head to their website to find out more about remaining events.
