A SUSTAINABLE SUMMER SEASON AT SUGAR HOUSE ISLAND
Our first-ever pre-loved market, The Good Find, brought the Sugar House Island community together to give quality clothing, shoes and accessories a second life. Following a fantastic response, we were able to run a second market during the summer season and the initiative saw hundreds of pre-loved gems donated.

By giving these items a new home, The Good Find helped keep quality pieces in use for longer, reduce waste and encourage more sustainable choices within our community. Building on last year’s clothing donation initiative with TRAID, The Good Find is another way we’re making circular living part of everyday life at Sugar House Island, showing how small, collective actions can make a difference.
Beyond recycling, sustainable practices on the Island take many forms, from bee boxes producing our very own Island honey to biodiversity-led landscaping that supports local flora and fauna. Our public spaces, including Chimney Walk, celebrate sustainable design through thoughtful retrofit and reuse, reflecting our commitment to a greener urban future. Together, these initiatives help foster a climate-conscious community where sustainability is part of everyday life, from the clothes we wear to the spaces we share.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated, shopped or stopped by to browse and help make our markets such a success. Here’s to giving more pre-loved pieces a second life!
