This May, Sugar House Island brings back Calm & Connect — a week-long programme of uplifting, restorative and community-driven events as part of Mental Health Awareness Week (11–17 May 2026). This year, we’re also raising awareness and funds for MindJoin our fundraiser here.

🌬️ Breathe & Reset: Breathwork Session

Monday 11 May, 6:00PM
📍 The Rum House, 1st floor

Step into a 60-minute immersive breathwork experience designed to restore balance and ease the mind. Guided by expert facilitator Liza from We The Concious, this sensory-led session invites you to unwind, reset and reconnect. Secure your place to experience it for yourself.

🧠Build Your Calm: Lego’s Workshop

3:30PM – Children’s drop in session
Let little imaginations run free in this relaxed, drop-in creative session hosted by Brilliant Bricks, where hands-on building encourages focus, confidence and discovery. Designed for calm, mindful play — simply drop in and start creating.

6:30PM – Adult creative workshop

Let your creativity flow in this guided, hands-on workshop by Brilliant Bricks where simple building prompts encourage mindfulness, connection and a sense of play. Designed as a calm, welcoming space to unwind and share ideas, it’s the perfect chance to switch off, get making and connect with others.

🧘Unwind & Flow: Yoga

Unwind and reset with this returning yoga session led by Lexi from Blithe Yoga, designed to release tension and restore balance after the day. With a focus on mindful movement, breath and relaxation, it’s a welcoming, beginner-friendly space—book your spot and ease into the evening feeling calmer, clearer and reconnected.

🥐Coffee, Croissants & a Cause

Wednesday 13 May, 7:00AM-4:30PM
📍 Location: Baba’s Coffee, Sugar House Island

Swing by Baba’s and take a moment for yourself — whether it’s a strawberry matcha, a classic americano or something delicious to eat. Every visit supports a meaningful cause: all takings from the day will be matched with a donation to Mind, helping fund vital mental health support, awareness and advocacy.

So you can feel good knowing your everyday treat is giving back. No need to RSVP!

🔔Tune In, Tune Out: Sound Bath

Thursday 14 May, 6:30PM

Drift into deep rest with a soothing sound bath led by Blithe Yoga, using crystal bowls and ambient frequencies to calm the mind and body. Settle into stillness, and you tune in and tune out – your moment to fully switch off.

🖐️Mould & Mindful: Clay Workshop
