Works in and around the Sugar House are continuing to progress. The gold façade has now been installed to the building’s three extensions. Fit out works to the eight apartments are ongoing. Cooperage Yard’s hard landscaping is now complete, with just the soft landscaping and planting of herbaceous ornamental shrubs to go.
The brickwork façade is now complete on three elevations with the scaffold being struck, see image below of brickwork on Cloud Street. Works internally are progressing well with the fixed furniture being installed in all the classrooms, and the main hall is taking shape with balustrade install and decorating close to completion. Externally, the groundworks for the wall of note and bin store are progressing well.
Works are progressing well on our second phase of residential. The internal fit out has completed on roughly ¼ of the homes, and snagging is now underway. Commissioning is beginning in these apartments. Externally, all protruding balconies have now been installed.
Finishes to the underground car park are due to start including laying the floor, and installation of the generous storage cages for each of the homes.
The eastern residents’ courtyard is almost complete with just the soft landscaping to go. The western and riverside courtyards are currently being hard landscaped, with several mature trees being planted, including Pea trees and several varieties of Birch tree.
Our one-bedroom show apartment has been decorated and furnished, ready for our launch of 211 new rental homes later in the month.
The first set of pre-cast columns have been installed on site, with the first-floor beams and concrete slabs to follow shortly.
The production of Matilda’s bridge has been delayed due to a worldwide supply issue with timber (particularly cross-laminated timber). We are now expecting this to be produced and installed towards the end of August.
